// Our Process

A clear process, from first brief to launch

No black box and no guesswork. Every SmartCodex project follows the same six steps, so you always know what stage we are at, what happens next and what is expected from your side.

01

Strategy

Goals, audience and scope defined first.

02

UX/UI Design

Structure and interface shaped around real journeys.

03

Development

Clean, responsive front-end implementation.

04

Optimization

Performance, technical SEO and QA before release.

05

Launch

Deployment, final checks and ongoing support.

// Step by step

The six steps in detail

Each step has a purpose, a clear input from you and a concrete result you can review.

01Discover

Understand the business and the project

We start with a conversation about your business, your goals, your audience and what the website has to achieve. We look at what exists today, what your competitors do well, and which pages and functionality the project actually requires.

What we need from you

  • Your goals and priorities
  • Existing brand assets, if any
  • Examples of websites you like

What you get at this stage

  • A clear summary of the scope
  • A realistic timeline
  • An agreed starting point
02Plan

Define the structure and the journey

Before any design work, we map the website: pages, navigation, the content each page needs and the path a visitor takes from arriving to contacting you. Planning is where most website problems are prevented.

What we need from you

  • Content you already have
  • Answers to a short content brief
  • Feedback on the proposed structure

What you get at this stage

  • A page-by-page sitemap
  • A content checklist
  • The main user journey defined
03Design

Create the visual direction and the UX/UI

We design the interface: layout, typography, colour, components and states, on desktop and mobile. You review the design and we refine it, so nothing goes into development before it is agreed.

What we need from you

  • Design feedback in one consolidated round
  • Final logo and brand details
  • Approval to build

What you get at this stage

  • Key page designs
  • A consistent component set
  • Responsive layout direction
04Develop

Build and integrate the website

The approved design becomes a working website: semantic HTML, structured CSS, JavaScript where it adds value, working forms and integrated content, tested across browsers and devices.

What we need from you

  • Final text and images
  • Hosting and domain access
  • Any third-party accounts to connect

What you get at this stage

  • A responsive, working website
  • Forms and integrations in place
  • A preview link to review
05Optimize

Review performance, usability and technical SEO

Before launch we go through the details: loading performance, image sizes, responsive behaviour, accessibility basics, page titles and metadata, sitemap, robots and structured data, plus a full content proofread.

What we need from you

  • Final content corrections
  • Confirmation of page titles
  • Sign-off to go live

What you get at this stage

  • Performance and SEO checks
  • Cross-device QA
  • A launch-ready website
06Launch & Support

Go live, then keep improving

We deploy the website, verify that everything works in the live environment — forms, links, redirects, analytics — and hand over what you need to manage it. Support for maintenance and updates is available where applicable.

What we need from you

  • A short handover session
  • Decisions on ongoing support
  • Future content ideas

What you get at this stage

  • A live website
  • Post-launch checks
  • Ongoing maintenance options
// Working together

How we keep projects moving

One point of contact

You deal directly with the person designing and building your website — no briefs lost between departments.

Review at each stage

Structure, design and build are each approved before the next stage begins, so surprises are caught early.

Written and documented

Scope, decisions and handover notes are written down, so what was agreed stays clear for both sides.
